December Update
Mark your calendars. Earlier this week I made a major commitment to Live365 to expand Maximum Broadway Radio in the new year. Unfortunately, this change will mean the end of automated online requests and the return of commercials for non-VIP listeners. Benefits will include enhanced stability, the option of listening without logging in, and 5 times as many listener slots to reduce your chance of getting locked out. The other benefit will be the launch of a 2nd station. I'm still deciding on the format, but it will definitely be a subset of the wide-ranging playlist that has made the main station so popular. Please let me know what you would like to see in the new station - only the big Broadway hits, modern Broadway, everything except the big hits, etc.
New Music. New shows recently added include Zombie Prom, John& Jen, and Captain Louie. I also added tracks from the Marin Mazzie/Jason Danieley album Opposite You. It's another great release from the fine folks at PS Classics. They have been incredibly supportive of the station this year. If you're shopping for CDs, check out psclassics.com. The movie version of Rent came out last week to large audiences, but we all know that everything's better on stage. Thus, I selected the OBC recording of Rent as the Album of the Month. Like Oklahoma and A Chorus Line, Rent is a turning point. If you don't already own this recording, you are really missing out. (Note: If you're thinking, "Wasn't Rent the Album of the Month for November too?", you're right. I'm just too busy to pick a new one, and it is one of my favorite recordings.)
